We Real Cool (response)

We Real Cool/ Is it looking a certain way? Is it acting a certain way? Or is it just being fake? What the hell is it!!!! We Real Cool was a very connective poem. It had a lot of meaning. When I read this poem I began to think about stories that my pop used to tell me a few years back.

One of the things that I liked about this poem(We Real Cool) would have to be the title. I think that its important because it sets the mood of the poem. This poem , was based on two people or a group of people wanting or trying to be cool. This poem is an eye catcher because it says something about being cool. As you read this poem you will begin to see how this title is engaged with the poem.

In addition rhythm plays a major role in this poem as well. Without rhythm the poem just doesn't catch my eye. I really love poems that have rhythm so I would have to say that is why I chose this poem. Rhythm to me is important but its not supposed to be in every poem. I just really love poems with rhythm.

My last reason for liking this poem is imagery. This poem is a very expressive poem to me. Every other line seems to paint a different picture. A lot of them paint pictures that i really can relate to. This poem points out drinking, chilling, then dying. I mean come on doesn't it paint a picture to you.

This poem was all of that. This poem opens eyes to not only me but to people that can relate to this scenario as well. I reall like this poem. if I could rate this poem on a 1-10 i would give it a strong 9. Not because its good but everything isn't perfect there's probaly something that I'm missing that another person might catch. That can make a good suggestion about it.
